Mari Lending ny professor ved AHO
Mari Lending er av AHOs styre ansatt som ny professor i arkitekturhistorie og -teori ved Institutt for form, teori og historie fra 1.10.2010.
Stillingen er knyttet til forskningssenteret The Oslo Centre of Critical Architectural Studies (OCCAS), og ble utlyst høsten 2009.
Søkerne til stillingen ble vurdert av en ekstern komite bestående av tre internasjonale medlemmer. Av totalt 17 søkere til stillingen, ble tolv gitt professorkompetanse og tre kandidater innstilt i rangert rekkefølge.
Mari Lending ble enstemmig rangert som nr. 1, og i komiteens uttalelse står det blant annet: "Lendings scholary range and her ability to engage wide range of topics, methodologies and formats bears witness to a well established scholary trajectory. Her ability to engage various audiences and formats from scholary writing to critisism fits well with multifaceted assignments og the new professorship, which includes leading the new center. It also shows strong potential as a teacher able to operate on multiple levels and a thesis adviser able and willing to engage a wide range of topics."
Mari Lending er for tiden ansatt som instituttleder ved Institutt for form, teori og historie, og vil inntil videre fortsette også i denne stillingen. Lending er magister i litteraturvitenskap og kunsthistorie fra UiO, og har ph.d i arkitekturhistorie fra AHO. Hun har tidligere vært ansatt som postdoktor ved FTH og gjesteforsker ved Columbia University, NY.
